Loretta's Restaurant is located in Oakwood, Ga. I love eating at this place. You can usually tell how good the food is by how good the sweet tea is. If the tea is real, Southern sweet tea - with just the right sweetness, then you know the food will be Southern cooked just right too. That's the way Loretta's is - sweet, Southern tea and Southern Soul food. The menu is subject to change, but my favorites are the green beans, mashed potatoes, fried okra (sometimes fried squash), biscuit, fried apple pie, and a tall glass of good ol', ice cold sweet Southern tea. mmmmmmm Loretta's Restaurant hours are: Breakfast and Lunch from 6a.m. to 2p.m. (Mon. thru Sat.) Supper from 4:30p.m. to 8:00p.m. (Mon. thru Sat.) The only thing I don't like about the facility is the women's restroom. Can't say much about the men's, as I haven't been in it. The women's restroom is tiny. In fact, it's too tiny to have doors on the stalls. Call me old fashioned, but when I go potty I want my privacy. The food is delicious. The service is just what you would expect - down home Southern hospitality. You will not be disappointed in the food or the friendly atmosphere.
